Getting the most out of your cell analyses with AI

Using ZEISS arivis software solutions

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the field of image analysis, in specific Deep Learning approaches can help us achieve image segmentation tasks that we before thought impossible.

Machine learning can be ideal when data is not anticipated to change much from the data used for the training. On the other hand, deep learning can help us creating image analysis pipelines that are more robust to variability in the images, such changes in intensity, differences in SNR or even the segmentation of non-labelled structures or EM images. During this seminar we will discuss the pros and cons of various AI technologies for image analysis and how to best utilize if for your cell analyses.

Speaker's Profile Delisa Garcia Business Development, APAC, Spain & Portugal

Delisa is arivis software developer for the APAC region at ZEISS.
She studied Chemistry at the university of Valencia in Spain. Then she moved to London to pursue her PhD in Biophysics at Imperial College. During her time as a researcher she worked with different imaging techniques such TPE (two-photon microscopy), FLIM, SHG (second harmonic generation) and its applications to study skeletal muscle.

After a post doc she started working in image analysis. Currently she has over 10 years of experience in image handling and image analysis from a wide variety of fields (neurosciences, life sciences, material sciences, food industry, etc.).
